Leg leg discrepancy or habitual weight bearing on a single leg is often seen in individuals who are on the Autism spectrum. Even when heel lift is recommended most people will still lean and place most of their body weight on the apparent “short leg”. Here is a yoga based exercise or position or pose (Iyengar Yoga inspired) that may help some to learn how to shift weight evenly while keeping their body elongated and in a good alignment. As always this should be done with the help of a quaulified Iyenagr Yoga teacher. Therapist should seek their help in attempting to use this pose in their sessions.
